In May/June 2008, a group of cyclists will cycle 5,000 kilometers from Istanbul (Turkey) to Listowel (Ireland). The cycle will start in Istanbul on Friday the 2nd of May 2008 and will go through Sofia (Bulgaria), Belgrade (Serbia), Banja Luka (Bosnia), Zagreb (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovakia), Venice (Italy), Rheinfelden (Germany),Basel (Switzerland), Paris (France), Bath (England), Holyhead (Wales) and Dublin (Ireland) before finishing in Listowel on Tuesday 24th of June 2008.

As we cross the 13 countries on our route we will cycle for 47 days (averaging 106 kilometers per day) and have 7 rest days. We welcome anyone who would like to join us for a few weeks, days or even hours. Some days will be easier than others, so don't hesitate to contact us for more details. For those who wish to take a break, we have carefully chosen a route that is close to train and bus routes. For more details on the Cycle (Route, Cyclists, Map, Week-by-Week intenerary), click on the "Cycle Route and News" link at the top of the page.

We will also gratefully accept sponsorship and contributions. Every cent raised will go to a Street Kids program in Honduras on which Richard Pierse from Listowel is working. This program gives kids an education and training, and redirects them from a life of working in dumps and joining gangs.
